The average snail, mouth and tip are about the same size, but it has more than 26,000 teeth. All the snails have their teeth on the tongue. They are basically invisible to the naked eye, but they are very sharp. Although snails have a lot of teeth, they are not used for chewing. They can only use the tongue to crush food for digestion. Even so, the snail’s teeth gradually wear and degenerate and are replaced by new ones.
