Mosquitoes (mosquito) belong to the order Diptera and Culicidae, also known as “mosquitoes”, and are the most important group of medical insects. Mosquitoes are widely distributed and there are many species. So far, the world has recorded 3 subfamilies (Giantineidae, Anopheles, Culex subfamily), 35 genera, and more than 3,600 species and subspecies.
