The Earth and the moon, the whole galactic anomaly, have so many unanswered questions

7
VIEWS

The moon is a bit big for earth’s satellite. Of the four earth-like planets in the solar system, only the Earth has a moon as big as the moon. Earth’s two inner planets, Mercury and Venus, have no moons, while Mars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos. Of the four earth-like planets, only Earth and Mars have moons, and Mars has two. The two moons of Mars, however, are very small and very unusual. They are not only small and light, but also shapeless. They have strange shapes, like potatoes and eggplants. And the moon, round, big, bright, planet-like, much bigger, much heavier, much prettier than Phobos and Deimos.

Mars and its two moons, Phobos and Deimos

The moon is even larger than Pluto. Let’s start with the data: the moon is 3,476 kilometers across, Pluto is 2,370 kilometers, and Mercury is 4,880 kilometers. The moon is a third smaller than Mercury and a third bigger than Pluto. The moon is not small among the moons of the solar system, especially in terms of its share with the host planet Earth. The moon is about one fourth the diameter of the earth, one 49th the volume of the earth, one 81st the component of the earth, and one 14th the surface volume of the earth. The moon has a volume of 22 billion km ³, an external volume of 38 million sq km and a mass of 735 billion gigatons. A moon of this size is unique not just in the solar system, but in the Milky Way.

Five brothers from the same family

Look at the two gas planets in the solar system, Jupiter and Saturn, and the two ice giants, Uranus and Neptune. They are all very large and not small, but they are less dense than the four terrestrial planets. Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. At a terrifying 142,984 kilometers across, Jupiter is 11 times the diameter of the Earth and nearly a ninth the diameter of the Sun. Jupiter is 1,316 times the size of Earth and 318 times the mass of Earth. In the solar system, the sun is the sure king, and Jupiter is the sure second. The sun is a star, the star can let the planet around it, is because it has a large volume and mass, otherwise it is difficult to rely on gravity to attract the planet, commanding the department to work in an orderly way. Saturn is also the second largest planet in our solar system, after Jupiter. Uranus and Neptune are ice giants, much larger and more massive than Earth.

Neptune, the bluest object in the solar system

With a mass of 2 billion billion billion tons, the Sun accounts for 99.86 percent of the total mass of the solar system, and Jupiter has 70 percent of the remaining 0.14 percent. But interestingly, Jupiter doesn’t have the most moons. To date, Jupiter has 79 known moons, while Saturn has 95. Uranus has 27 moons, Neptune has 14. But overall, none of them have as much mystery as the moon, nor as much share as the moon and the Earth.

Uranus, like a duck egg

The moon’s unsolved mysteries remain far from earth! Even though it’s just a satellite. Like, where did the moon come from? What elements is it made of? Is it older or younger than the earth? Is it hollow or solid? Is there life on the moon? Why does it always face the earth on one side? And how did the 380,000 km gap between it and the Earth come about? And so on. The moon is the only celestial body on which man has ever landed, but analysis of the soil and rock retrieved suggests that it is much older than earth. The oldest rocks on the moon are 4.5 billion years old, while the oldest rocks on Earth are only 3.7 billion years old. This shows that the moon was formed long before the earth was born. This also disproves the assumption that the moon is separated from the Pacific Ocean on Earth.

Pluto and Charon

The surface of the moon is highly radioactive, and where the energy comes from has puzzled scientists. The moon’s crust is eight miles thick, but surprisingly hot. Although the temperature of the moon’s outer surface varies greatly between day and night, the temperature of the lunar soil is not cold. Apparently, this heat is not coming from the sun, but from inside the moon. Second, the moon doesn’t have a magnetic field, but moon rocks do. Studies have shown that the moon does not have an iron or nickel center, and may even be hollow, so where did the magnetic properties of the moon rocks come from? Be tempting.

The moon is riddled with holes

Also, the modern view is that the moon is hollow, and this is not nonsense, there is some basis for it. While orbiting the moon, the Apollo 10 spacecraft accidentally dropped the lunar module, and the crash reverberated for 15 minutes. This powerfully demonstrates that the moon is hollow and not a solid body. And according to the astronomers’ calculations, the moon’s volume and component don’t match, which means it’s empty at the center. Also, the moon has a density of 3.344 g/cm³, and the Earth has a density of 5.3g/cm³, so the moon is not too dense by comparison, but its external gravity is only about one-sixth that of the Earth, which makes it a little weird. The moon’s gravity shouldn’t be that small unless it’s hollow.

The moon works around the earth

The gap between the earth and the moon is 1:109, and the gap between the earth and the sun is 1:109, which is a little hard to imagine, is accidental or predestined, unknown. The moon compared to the sun is like an ant compared to Mount Everest. The sun is a star and the moon is only a satellite; they are not in the same league. But the interval between the moon and the earth was exactly the same as the interval between the sun and the earth, as if some mysterious force were at the back of it.

The progress of total lunar eclipse

Why does the moon always face the earth on one side, and the opposite side seems to be ashamed to see people? There is an explanation, the certainty of the tide, but it is not so thoroughly explained, it is not completely convinced. The moon is indeed a bit big for a satellite, with a quarter the diameter of the Earth. It is the largest moon in the solar system, and its share of earth’s scale is rare in the entire Galaxy. Because it’s so big, the moon doesn’t actually work around the Earth, but around a common particle that orbits each other. This point is the center of gravity for both.

The moon always faces the Earth in a working diagram

Man has landed on the moon, so he thinks he knows about the moon, plus the moon is the earth’s satellite, is the closest body to the earth, so he thinks he has revealed the secrets of the moon. In fact, it’s a drop in the bucket. There are so many unknowns about the moon that humans will never fully understand it for another hundred years. At 38 million square kilometers, more than twice the size of the world’s largest country, Russia, the landing of astronauts, probes and rovers is only a tickle, and the moon is still a long way from solving its mysteries. The moon is so large, the paltry few hundred meters around it, and how is it possible to know all about it?

Pluto’s other moons are more like potatoes

Some people say that Pluto still has 5 moons, why the earth only has one moon moon? On the other hand, Venus is the sister of the Earth, equal in size and weight, and a surrogate of the Earth, but Venus is still the nearest planet. But does Venus have moons? No! Pluto is a dwarf planet, a third smaller than the moon, and its moons are grotesque bodies that, in principle, cannot be counted as spheres. No matter how many moons Pluto has, it is not worth one moon.

Phobos

Finally, the relationship between the moon and earth is more like a binary system. How it came, has no matter, the key is that the earth can no longer do without it, it is like the earth’s sister the same, accompanied the Earth for 4.6 billion years. Sadly, the moon is moving away from the Earth. Scientists have calculated that the moon is moving away from the Earth at a rate of 3.8cm per year, and it is getting faster and faster. In about 100 million years, the moon will be invisible to humans.
