Louis Braille was completely blind at the age of five. At the age of 12, the boy was proficient in a complex system of blind reading with his fingers. The system was originally designed for non-verbal communication of the French army at night and it consisted of 12 o’clock.

Louis improved it by lowering it to 6 points, and the new letter is called “Braille.” Books for the blind have become easier to “write” and read, and every blind or visually impaired person thanked the child.
