Pepsi was born in the 1890s and is manufactured by Caleb Bradham, a North Carolina pharmacist. It is made from carbonated water, sugar, vanilla, raw oil, pepsin, and kola nuts. The drug was originally used Treat stomach diseases.
Even the name “Pepsi” comes from pepsin. It didn’t become a beverage company until later.
