Peas can be a child’s worst nightmare in more ways than one. A picture recently surfaced on the Internet that shows a girl’s severely swollen knees. It was later identified that the girl suffered these injuries after hours spent kneeling on frozen peas.
This form of punishment is quite normal in Chinese schools. While some forms of kneeling punishments may be legal, kneeling on peas is a shockingly cruel and unusual discipline.
