Thirty-nine years ago, Hamako started playing video games when she was 51 years old. At that time, she saw the children at home playing games very happily and became interested in games.
“Those games look so fun, and I think it’s unfair to only play with children,” Hamako said.
“I think my life will become more fun if I learn to play games. At the beginning, I played it when no one was watching.”
The first game console she owned was “Cassette Vision”, and she also kept most of the game consoles and software she had bought for decades.
She said: “I cherish them because they bring me happy memories.”
Currently, she mainly plays the console game PS4, and she likes action games.
“Actually, I have only recently started playing action games. They are difficult to control. But action games are visually spectacular and often need to play a certain role, so I am very addicted to it now.”
She especially likes “Grand Theft Auto V”: “It’s like watching a movie. I like it best because it has age restrictions and kids can’t play it!”
Hamako started uploading game videos on YouTube because she wanted to share the game experience with others.
“If I was the only one enjoying it, it would be too wasteful.”
Hamako currently publishes three to four videos every month, and she said she was moved by the comments that fans care about.
Hamako, who has been playing for 39 years, said that playing games can refresh her.
“After living for so long, I feel more than ever that playing games for so long is the right choice. I really enjoy my life-it’s rosy.”
