In ancient China, there was already a system of old-age care. As a very prosperous dynasty, the Tang Dynasty introduced a number of perfect old-age pension systems. The court stipulated that there should be one person serving from 70 to 88 years old, and two people from 89 to 100 years old. Five people must be served when they are over one hundred years old.
And these costs are borne by the government at the time. However, the average life expectancy of the Tang Dynasty was less than 60 years old.
