The HSBC Lions were once produced by the Japanese in Japan during the Japanese occupation and then produced bullets. After they were not converted into Japanese, they defeated and surrendered. General MacArthur ordered the bronze lion and the bronze statue of the Queen to be returned to Hong Kong.
