Europe can be said to have the most countries in modern history. Before the outbreak of World War I, there were only a few 18 countries in Europe, such as Germany, France, Italy, Austria-Hungary, Switzerland, and Belgium. But as of today, there are already 48 countries in Europe. Most of these newly born countries emerged after the end of World War I.
After the end of World War I, the Allied Powers forced the disintegration of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in order to differentiate Germany’s strength. The Austro-Hungarian Empire of Nuovo University was divided into Austria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and other countries at once. At the same time, Poland was able to return to the country, and Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and other countries also appeared on the territory of the original tsarist Russia. All of a sudden it changed from 18 countries to 30 countries.
Later, as the international political situation continued to change, Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union disintegrated, and 48 modern European countries finally took shape.
