Putuo hornbill, scientific name is Carpinusputoensis. The particularity of this plant is that under natural conditions, it is almost impossible to breed on its own. Currently there is only one in the world, in Zhejiang, China.
This Putuo horn is located in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, at the Huiji Temple in Putuo. The height of the whole tree reached 13.5 meters, and the tree was shaded and the shaded area reached 72 square meters. The tree has been around for more than two hundred years, but it was discovered shortly after it was discovered in 1930 by the famous botanist Zhong Xingji. At the time of discovery, the experts began continuous research. Finally, in 1932, it was identified as a new tree species. Since it was found in the Putuo Buddha Mountain, it was also named Putuo Goose.
