These markers, which you may have seen, are called eye marks. On the production line, with the aid of an optical sensor, the machine knows where the package needs to be pressed, folded or cut. The color of the eye markers is irrelevant as long as they are dark and are sufficiently different from the background color so that the sensor recognizes them.
